What a beautiful Fall day. It's cool and crisp and the sun is shining and the leaves are falling like crazy. You just can't beat Fall in the Midwest. Today I walked my 5K for Breast Cancer research. It was twice around the state fairgrounds. Luckily, I had good friends from work to walk with and the whole thing lasted an hour. Then I stopped downtown at the Farmer's Market. I bought a spaghetti squash and an acorn squash. I've been wanting to try cooking them all summer. So, today is the day! I am going to cut the acorn squash in half; clean it out and then microwave it. Let me know if you have a better recipe.
I still have some Fall garden cleanup to do. Since I'm home, I think I will rest a bit and then go "rummaging". Come with me today. It's fun. Love ya, Moe

Happy Friday
Wow! The week flew by, do you feel that way? Chris and I went to a lecture by historian Doris Kerns Goodwin. It was so interesting. She worked for LBJ and had fun stories about him, JFK and especially A. Lincoln. Even though I am suffering from a pulled muscle (Zumba related), I really enjoyed it. We sat with Bernie & Sally and got to visit with them, too. So, let's start the weekend. Saturday, I am walking a 5K for Breast Cancer and Sunday, Chris and I going to the Third Sunday Market in Bloomington with Deena and Theresa.
What are you doing this weekend? Love ya, Moe

Another Day Shopping
What a glorious day! We went up to Farmington on The Spoon River Drive. Went all the way to Farmington, IL. Just alot of import stuff. Nothing much interesting to eat either! How disappointing. All that walking and looking worn me out! Early to bed (as usual)!! Must watch Madmen tonight - slept through it last week. Oh well. Love ya, Moe
P.S. I was trying to remember when Connie & I would go to Farmington and stay with her Aunt Donna. Nothing really looked familiar. Even the movie theater looked different than I remembered.

What a fun day! Deena, Theresa, Kim & I went on a shopping trip to St. Louis. As it turns out, I was the only one who made purchases. I didn't realize those shoes were $80.00!! I never spend that much on shoes. Now, I'm going to have to wear them everyday. Why didn't someone stop me!! We ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then spent the rest of the afternoon moaning about how full we were. But, boy oh boy...was it tasty!! Overall, despite the shoe fiasco, it was a great day. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Let's do it again soon. Love ya, Moe
P.S. I'll post pictures just as soon as I figure out how.

Friday Night
Is there anything else in your life that holds more promise than a Friday night? It's the end of the work week - the happiest day at work. You've got the whole weekend ahead of you. Isn't that just wonderful? Anything can happen! But this weekend is even better. It's a three day weekend. So tonight not only do I have Saturday & Sunday to enjoy the anticipation but Monday is thrown in there too. What joy, what bliss! No Sunday night "going back to work" blues... Aha..let me enjoy what might be the last warm weekend of Fall on a three day weekend. See ya on the patio. Moe
